four eyes

a funny thing happens when you start to age. some parts of you improve, while others disintegrate. unfortunatly for slinky, this past weeks events are a tale of the later. as i type, i sit here trying to adjust my eyes to my new glasses, a rather weird sensation to be brief. mind you i dont know why i waited this long to get them. everything is clear again, like crystal! so damn my astigmatation, and hello 3rd and 4th eyes!

I remember when I first got glasses when I was 11. The first day I wore them to school I was on Road Patrol (you know, with the cool fluro orange crossing poles!) and I was amazed that I could actually see the individual leaves on the trees and car number plates as they drove down the road. I think my teacher was more impressed that I could read the blackboard and didn’t keep asking everyone around me what she was writing :)

Heh I seem to recall almost destroying one pair of your glasses too Jimi. As for me though? Well I’ve started to question my normally perfect vision too. Not to the point I need to get goggles…. but I’m starting to have to really try and focus on tiny writing when it’s far away now.

what can that boy possibly know about the effects of aging?? Hes just a puppy!

Poor eyesight is a headache though, I admit I find it difficult to drive at night, and during the day I cant read a road sign until im near hitting it. My 12yr old has become a most excellent navigator though and intends to take over the driving in 3yrs to increase her survival rate she says.
