Google Waving
Hi again my dedicated followers!
I finally got my invite to Google Wave today! I’m sooooo excited and the best is… I have no idea why. Mostly because I really don’t understand Wave at all!! All I know is that I am a total Google convert. Google Mail (aka Gmail) and Google Apps totally rock my world.
Google Wave is the latest hyper-web (yeah I made that buzz word up) tool from the good folks at Google. As I write this I’ve had a total of ONE experience with Wave, and that was with Designer Guy at work… so my experience is TOTALLY limited.
Basically Wave is a super Web 2.0 communication and collaboration tool. It’s social, it’s immediate and so far… it’s fun. I can actually see a massive application for this – especially for us as a dev team. New project? New wave…
Unfortuntely I kinda feel like Google Wave really is a bit like the Matrix. No one can be told what the Wave is. You have to see it for yourself.
Only problem is (as Rod Drury so excellently pointed out on Fruitbowl) “This must be what a felt like for the first people with fax machines. No one to talk to. ” On that note… is anyone interested in checking Wave out at all? Jimi? Slink? I’ve got 8… count them EIGHT invites to dish out to new users. Hit me with a comment and I’ll get an invite out to the email address you use for the comment…

Sure, why not? Hook me up!!
Sent!!
From wave.google.com/wave:
Invitations will not be sent immediately. We have a lot of stamps to lick.
Whatev…
You mean they are using Snail Mail for these invites? Wow, that's old school…….
ROFL!
Actually I'd love to see what an e-stamp looks like… I wonder if they flavour them so they taste nice when you lick them?
Why not, I need something else to look at, please hook me up Mr Moon.
