How many more sleeps?
I don’t have any brand spankers fotos of my little man, but I thought I’d delight you with a photo I just received of my incredibly gorgeous nephew, Hunter – also a big hefty lad! (Click it to enlarge it)
I just noticed on closer inspection he’s having a real good go at mowing the lawns for Dad! Isn’t he just adorable? I imagine our two lads will get up to plenty of mischeif when they’re older!
I’m back in the office for three days this week which is awesome! Only three more sleeps til shift day, six sleeps til our first family function in our new house (very casual birthday breakfast for Uncle Nofun), seven sleeps til actual Christmas and EIGHT sleeps until we have our big family Christmas at Mums! Just seems there’s soooo much to do leading up to Christmas.
This weekend I managed to NOT go to Napier more times than the number of days I was home for. Last weekend I was home 4 days and went to Napier five times!!! I did however go twice… once for my commissioning interview for ATC. Of course I aced it and so long as they don’t find any skeletons in my closet in the security check they do (and no I’m not a paedophile so I should be fine!!) then I should be in uniform next year! It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally in sight! Commissioning course is held in March, so I’m already waaaaay looking forward to that. The second trip was for our ATC adult type lunch at East Pier in Ahuriri. Nice place, but crazy expensive really. $15.90 for a coupla handles and a raspberry and lemonade! Good fun though!
Also went to the Waipawa Musical & Dramatic Christmas Cabaret. Got to see Pa doin his stage thing again, which is always a pleasure. He evened managed to step up his normally very droll humour and tell a couple of really funny jokes. Tails got to go up on the stage and sing Christmas Carols with the cast, so technically she’s just been in her first show. Ask her about it and she’ll shrug her shoulders and go “yeah… it was okay I guess”, but she was buzzing I’m sure! Really can’t wait to get back to Hawkes Bay fulltime so Kirst and I can get in and lend a hand with shows too. I’ve really missed the whole theatre culture since my last show some… er… well ten or twelve years ago I suppose!
Anyways… must get off and get some work done! Feel free to add some comments now that I’ve actually got the journal scripts working properly!

Point I was making was there’s a first time for posting a second blog entry on one date… and that was it.
