In the Kitchen
…back where I belong some might say.
Just had a bash @ grilling me up some Pork Chops and they turned out mighty fine if I might say so myself.
Used a Grilled Brown Sugar Pork Chops that I found on All Recipes – mostly thanks to Google rather than me actually being an All Recipes regular (that might change though after tonight’s dinner!) I didn’t have any apple juice though, so I just grated up a Granny Smith and used pulp instead. I also forgot to completely read the recipe so chucked the cornstarch (cornflour for us Kiwis) straight in the pot and skipped the water to make it more of a goo than a sauce. I also dropped our tub of ginger on the kitchen floor before I’d even opened it the first time thus busting the bottom off it. Guh.
End result? Even Kirsty gave it a “yeah, that’s not all bad” – which makes it awesome in my book! I served it up with some “gourmet” (aka we couldn’t wait for them to grow big enough) potatoes and a stir fry which was accompanied with Silverbeet that I grew. Frickin’ awesome. That’s almost as cool as the pizza I made last week and the home made lemonade with lemons fresh from our tree – which goes great with the gin that I didn’t make. At all.
