Let there be

I am not a geek and I do not get easily excited. But this week I have been busily planning my attack on the next lot of camping grounds that our whanau tribe will be rocking into. I have gone out in search of a toaster attatchment for my cooker and successfully found one, and nothing could have said halleluljah (spelling correction please) more to me than the new zealand camping guide which was sitting right there waiting for me at the checkout. Buy it on the spot I did, and to my joy it contains a descriptive and very informative listing of every camping ground in the north island (south island has its own book) which no doubt is going to be very useful indeed. It really should have been titled the campers bible, that’s what I think.

Tors and I have been in discussions as to where we will be going this coming summer, ideas are being thrown our way from the boys aka those who cook and fish, so in order to keep the men folk happy we are plotting the best places for our tribal group to visit. It’s not easy trying to find a place that pleases everyone I can tell you, well actually to be brutally honest it could well just be us 2 chicky babes that are ever so slightly uneasy with some of the options.

It all comes down to the loo’s, or more to the point and this is what we are dreading, the lack of loo’s. The writing that says byo loo for some camp sites is not winning us over, not at all. We don’t ask for much now really, we just ask that there be somewhat hygienic flushing loo’s and water access, thats our wee list of demands. Neither of us want to be travelling with a flippin loo in the car in the heat of the summer. Well not in the winter either quite frankly.

I have been told too that where the men folk want us to go is out of range for mobile phones. I am woman for goodness sake, I will survive! I can get by quite happily without electricity, without a phone, without coffee to go. Just let there be loo’s.

Too late, you already have. But I was going to suggest you change the rejection message to something a little more personal for the boys.
