Moons Word Up
Well you know my second biggest news already! My biggest news is that which cannot be said but will be shortly… watch this space!
So yeah… time to change jobs. I’m now 2 weeks out from my finish date and it’s getting REALLY exciting. Everyone at work hates me coz Dory only left about 6 or 8 weeks ago and I think it basically comes down to the fact that I’m the only one in our team that really knows our custom built system. *shrug* Sometimes you just gotta make that move huh?
The bitter/sweet part of the new role is that I can’t take on any new web work. That kind sucks coz I enjoy it, but it does mean that I can go home and just be a Dad/Husband at night. It means less stress coz I don’t have to go home and bleat to my lovely, caring, understanding (e.g. somehow puts up with my endless bleating and moodiness) wife and then spend half the night awake for a week on end getting jobs out on a timeline. Frankly, I’m almost stoked about that bit.
As for Cadets? Well that’s ticking along nicely… Got our ski weekend this weekend so I’m going to go out and try NOT to crack any ribs this time. (Wow that was THREE year ago???)
And family? Well yeah, things are GREAT on that front. Big bro has knocked up his wife, so there’s a baby on the way… soooooo excited. Love my other nephews and niece to bits but there’s just something way cool about having blood relative babies in the family! Just for the record don’t ask her about it though – she has this crazy notion that there’s more important things to talk about than the growth that has taken up residence in her womb!! We’re on the countdown to Taylah and Connors birthdays… both in the next six weeks. And Father’s Day was awesome. Gotta cool photo frame for my new work desk. And Taylah burnt ooked me pancakes for breakfast. I’ve never had pancakes black on the outside and runny in the middle, but they still tasted awesome! It’s just a shame I didn’t hear at ALL from other boys. Usual story for Fathers Day. It’s one of those days in the year that I somehow love AND hate all in one. Oh well… holiday time soon so I’ll see them then.
Oh and… BATHURST IS COMING!!! YAY!
