Mouse monster

My weekend just took a turn for the unexpexted, the weenies informed me through high pitched screeches that there is a mouse on the prowl in the house. You have got to be kidding me, thats disgusting. Maybe they’re playing a trick on me? So not entirely convinced of their story I played along, looking for the phantom mouse.

OMFG they were not kidding me, there really is a mouse in the house. I chased that damn dirty little thing into the kitchen, which is where I lost it. There is only 2 places that it could be, in the hot water cupboard or behind the fridge. Now I can’t sit there all day waiting for it to show it’s pipsqueak little face, well I could but I really don’t want to, so the obvious plan of capture is to set traps. Bait to be exact, yummy scrummy blue mouse bait that even the dumbest mouse would most likely not be silly enough to eat. (It’s all I could find at short notice).

So now what? Now I am paranoid as to where it has been, what it has been on, how long it has been here, how did it get in. How am I going to sleep tonight knowing there is a dirty filthy little creature lurking about the kitchen laughing at my ridiculous blue bait? My problem here being I saw the movie Ratatouille which was about a house and then a restaurant being plagued and overtaken by rats. It was funny at the time, now I am regretting laughing so much.

I know I was wanting to catch a rat a while back but that rat was a person, this mouse is a mouse. Smaller faster and harder to pounce on. Not that I want to be pouncing on the dirty thing, ugh. I could chase it and throw things at it but I will most likely destroy the house and miss the mouse. I could set actual traps and leave them in different the mouse is surely to go there places, but I would not want any visitors randomly popping in. They would get the impression that my house is plagued, I would be so horribly embarrassed. It’s just 1 little mouse I tell you, just 1!

I want that little booger gone, it has to leave or die. Either way I don’t care, as long as it happens. And soon. I wonder if I can bleach it out?

I will be surprised if I find a dead mouse, this little booger is a crafty wee one.

I was right, blue bait does not kill the mice, it gobbled it up and still managed to run.
