Oh joy!
I had to dash over to Taupo yesterday afternoon for a family matter and while I was there I did the usual chicky babe thing to do, I went and had a quick look around the shops to see what there was to see. Not a lot actually, everything there seems to close at 5 on the dot. The streets were emptying and doors were closing. But I had a moment of the heavens opening up and a ray of light shining down and guiding me directly to one of my absolute favourite stores which not only was still open but oh bless they were having a sale. Oh Pagani I do love you ever so much.
I came out of there ever so pleased with myself and my bargain of the century purchases, what a stroke of luck that was, I hadn’t even known they had a Pagani there. Just to make myself understood the Rotorua store closed down well over a year ago and left me in a slight state of devastation with no knowledge of where the nearest one could possibly be, but I am back on my way from misery to happiness today..(ah-huh ah-huh ah-huh ah-huh…) with a Pagani business card that just happens to list every store on the back along with the website. I feel a shopping spree coming on. It’s good to be a girl.
Have you ever stopped at McDonalds in Taupo? This was my first time there and only because I had the weenies with me, but there is a great big plane parked up there as part of the playground. That had my girls intrigued for quite some time and I will admit I thought it was pretty cool too. I didn’t have my camera on me though so we might have to pop over there again some other time, hey you never know it could happen.

I was never really a fan of Pagani back in my NZ days – probably because most of their clothes didn’t fit my wonderful hourglass figure
As for the plane at Taupo McD’s – I can’t believe you haven’t seen that before. Do you not go to Taupo much? It’s been there for as long as I can remember – did you take the girls inside? Or do they not let you sit inside it anymore?
ahh yes i remember…big old douglas DC3 right?
sure is slink – and yeah it’s been there as long as I can remember too.
I have been through Taupo many times but I dont usually stop, this really was a first for me, and yes the plane is open for browsing, playing and dining.
At th mcicky dees in paraparaumu there used to be a cool train and carrige as part of the “restaurant” there. Unfortunately because they wanted to make the small mcd’s bigger and add the smallest and crappiest looking mc-cafe ever on, they got rid of it!
Oh and mcd’s porirua has won the larry j award for the most filthy mcd’s in the land. The mc cafe was nice and clean, but the rest? shesh! FILTHY!
That sucks. I drove past it a coupla weeks ago on a flying trip to see big bro graduate and I THOUGHT there was something missing. That train was cool.
point agreed. i loved that train.
