this happened on sunday, but i’ve only now been able to write about it, mainly cause its real hard to type without an operating system. thats right, i deleted windows. ive known for a while that tech-e-babe has had a virus somewhere, and being bored on sunday, i tried to find it. now i should point out that due to me not being a complete dumbass i did back up all of my music and document files first. so anyway my search took me into the windows operating files, (the ones you shouldn’t touch), and even though i got the file i was after, i still managed to delete something else. so i rebooted…nothing happened…opps. no biggy i thinks to myself, so i grab for my mates instal disk…which for some reason wipes my ENTIRE hard drive, and then tells me that it is missing a file and cant install…this is at 2130…so i find another disk…success, well sort of…remember i said my ENTIRE harddrive got nuked, including the 12 toshiba specific hardware drivers that are required to use just about any of the onboard hardware…this is at 2230. by 2430 i had managed to obtain these drivers and install them, so now it works yay! fast foward to today tuesday, at 1330. the last bit of software has just gone on, and im now back to full operational mode. the moral of this story? dont touch what you dont understand…might need tech support next time aye moonie?

Now don’t take this the wrong way, I’m not laughing at you and what you did, I’m just laughing because I no longer have to deal daily with people who do this sort of thing!
all good gem…i found it rather amusing myself…for about the first hour!
well untill i realised that i needed toshiba drivers…and coincidently their download websit went down for weekly matenance at the same time…not pretty…should also add that i forgot to get a usb 2.0 driver for it, so it took like 4+ hours just to copy my files back from my mates external, instead of the 10min it took to drop them on in the first place
That was all gobbledegeek to me, I dont speak geek!
