Time to contemplate, evaluate and irritate!
Wow its the 31st of December already. What a year 2007 has been!
First to Contemplate, what do you think of when you hear the words “two thousand and seven”?
Two things pop into my head, first being 2007 was the year the Rugby World Cup came around and Laz was VERY excited! The All Blacks had been in fine form before the cup (minus a “hiccup” against Aussie) and I was 90% sure that the AB’s could bring home the cup, or at least make it to the semi’s or final. Imagine my shock as I sat up to watch the quarter final live from cardif and see France topple the AB.s in a horror of a match. I remember turning to my flatmate with 25 minutes to go and saying “the all blacks are gunna lose this match” and then sitting with my jaw on the floor at the end as France celebrated the win. LAME!.
The second thing to pop into my head when i think of 2007 is that this was gunna be the year I settled down, sorted out what was important to me and to try and get my life back on track. Hmmmm its the 31st of December already, think ive left it a bit to late, im worse off than I was on January 1st!.
Now to evaluate the year. Well as I previously mentioned it has not been a good year for the Laz man. At the start of the year I was living in wellington with my partner (yeah I upgraded her from girlfriend to partner, it was that serious!) and though the work front was unstable to say the least, and money hard to come by, in retrospect I was kinda happy down there in my shoe box, even though i missed all my friends in taranaki. Perhaps if I had stuck to things down there the ex and I might still be together, but then again since we have been apart my eyes have been opened to her shortcomings (WOW I had the restraint to be kind and not call her bad things!). Ah well It’s time to put that behind me and look to the future, no matter how hard it may be to let go of somethings. Final evaluation score: 1 out of 10.
And finally Irritate. No I didn’t mention irritate in the title just to keep the rhyme going! NO! I mean tonight is the night to irritate those who don’t like to celebrate new years by cranking up the tunes, partying hard and yelling at the top of our voice’s:

actually there is a typo, i think Cardif is meant to be Cardiff with the extra f. I could be mistaken though!
