Welcome onboard Fishpond!
I signed up for another affiliate programme last week. The first I signed up with was my all time fave online store, ThinkGeek, but I never quite got around to actually attempting to advertise on their behalf :S
So anyways… now I’m an affiliate of Fishpond, an online book, cd and dvd store… right up my alley!! Way back when I set up my first website I had an affiliate account with what was then CD Now (now a part of amazon.com.) I made enough sales through just one of my visitors that I accumulated enough store credit to get a free cd shipped from the ‘States. I believe it was Californication by the Chili Peppers. Anyhoo… I realised the power of personal gain assosciated with affiliate programmes pretty quickly and since CDNow was swallowed by Amazon, I’ve been looking for another good programme. This seems pretty good for now and they’ve got some AWEOMSE stuff on there. They even pay you to do reviews – only about 25c or something, but seeing as how I plan to write reviews and post them on my own website I figure I might as well copy and paste them to fishpond too. Proceeds will go towards the running of the Geek Mythologies, and if yer lucky I might actually get around to running some of those competitions I’ve been wanting to run for ages and give away a coupla cheapy CDs or sumthing!
