What to blog about?
Wow, did you know if you search on Google using keywords “geek holiday barossa“, TGM is the first result returned?
Read a fascinating article about why your blog sucks the other day. One of the reasons was “Your blog revolves around your person”.
Okay so I’m a little confused… didn’t blogs start off as being a way to rant and vent online about things that ticked you off? Wasn’t it supposed to be a way to share your innermost with some amount of anonymity? I know that’s certainly where my blog started in earnest.
So that got me to thinking… do I really give a toss? Sure, I regularly pore over Google Analytics (yup I dropped statcounter on TGMv3) to see what brings people here, and sure I often do a bit of shameless marketing by pointing you to such sites as Fishpond because I have an affiliate account there, and yeah… I do go out of my way to work on the site SEO. But do I really give a toss? If I suddenly discovered no-one came to my site, would it be earth shattering, end-of-the-world Armageddon?
Nope.
So excuse me, Mr. Edward Khoo, but I’m gonna keep writing about me and you can just learn to live with that.
Just as a complete aside for you TGMers out there, feel free to whack a couple of keywords in the “Post Tags” on the right hand side of the Add New Posts section of the dashboard when yer putting posts in. Makes the site work better in Google Searches.

I did try to comment last week but I'm not logged in at home and couldn't remember my login details and so gave up. (although strangely enough I had to log in this morning at work and it worked first time withe details I tried at home last week – so maybe it was a sign……..)
Anyway! I'm glad you are going to keep writing about you – it's the best way to keep up with the F-M's
