More techo news
Wow… updates a plenty.
It occurred to me in a conversation with Slink this morning that it was a royal pain in the ass trying to read and respond to all the latest comments since I had last logged into the site. Particularly on *cough* older (2+ days old) posts, so I made a latest comments script
Those of you who can’t log in… well… tough
Those of you who can will notice a brand spankers shiny new “New Comments” link in the User Panel. When you click on this the script will query the database and display ALL comments since you last logged in. The only prob here is that if you close your browser you get logged off and therefore if you haven’t viewed/responded to all the comments, the script will not know the difference and therefore when you next login you will not be presented with these comments again. Confused? Just don’t close your browser between sessions here. End.
I’ve also updated the RSS feed script so HOPEFULLY it will actually run and update the RSS feed each time a journal entry is posted. *cross fingers*. This post was really only made to test it out.

Awesomeness. It works. Was an absolute/relative referencing problem.
Or is that OBSOLETE, Jo?
WOW dude, this is really cool! And even I can work it, most excellent!!
Glad you like it. I was totally concerned that some of those older posts (particularly the mega long 21 comments following your man turf post) were getting lost. So WHAMMO! I made them come back
I think I might add the option to see the last two days worth of comments… I’ve also COLOUR CODED the comments. Green = new since you last login, grey = you’ve seen em before but they may put the conversation in context for you.
