As every good dad should, I’ve been teaching Connor some of the best tricks in the world. Ever.
The first, I learnt from my Grandmother at about four years old – blowing bubbles. It’s really neat seeing Connor get so excited every night at bath time in anticipation of bubble playtime.
To tell the truth I really didn’t expect him to get the whole concept very quickly, but he took to it like… well a duck to water I guess! After washing him from head-to-toe, Connor get’s his own special palm full of flowing soap and then takes the 3 steps to make the perfect bubbles…
- Moosh up the soap to make it bubbley
- Form a ring with your thumb and forefinger
- BLOW!
As you can see by the pics below, he does a great job of it.
And the second trick? A little something I learnt from watching 21 Jumpstreet back in the 80′s… the blowfish! You have to see it to really get it, so that’s what pic 4 is all about. I’ve got a video clip of it too which I’ve just uploaded to YouTube… Here’s the vid…

You got the blowfish trick from 21 Jump St? I learnt that trick as a kid too but I don't remember it being on 21 Jump St…… but that could just be my bad memory
Man I loved that program though – Johnny Depp, Peter DeLuise. I couldn't understand why we didn't have gorgeous undercover cops at our school. But now that I think about it, probably because I went to an all girls' school!!!
Just found up sound good/bad/interesting news… when I did a search for 21 Jumpstreet over at imdb.com I discovered they're making a new one for 2012. Not sure if it's a new TV show or a movie though…
Oooh, interesting. I wonder if they will go the 'guest appearance' route? I have to say, I'm never sure about remakes of great series but I've been hooked into the new Knight Rider series so 21 Jumpstreet has a chance.
By the way, when you click on the bubble photos to see them full page, the video clip stays stuck in front of them so you can't see the photos properly. Might want to look into that…..
It's a flash z-index issue… flash ALWAYS puts itself on top of everything else. There is a way to fix it, but maybe I'll just avoid sticking flash in a page with a gallery in it
and and… try Chrome. It works perfectly as expected under Chrome.
